Where your Dossier lives
Your Dossier — every record and every piece of evidence — is stored locally on your machine, not on our servers. Local-first is the default, not an upgrade.
What leaves your machine
Some features — extracting an import, chatting with Quill, building an application — run on our service, because they use AI models and keys we host. When you use one, the text needed for that task is sent to perform it and return the result. We don't keep a copy of your Dossier on our servers to do this.
You sign in so those AI features can be metered to your account. That sign-in is the minimum account data we hold.
What we never do
- Never sold. We don't sell your data — full stop.
- Never shared. We don't hand it to third parties for their own use.
- Never used to train a model. Your career record is not training data.
Telemetry
Product telemetry is off by default and consent-gated. If you turn it on, it covers cost, quality, and usage events that help us improve — with contact details stripped out. You can turn it off again at any time.
Your control
It's your file. Export it or delete it whenever you want, locally, without asking us.
